NSPPP Master Certification

Certified Patient Payment Expert (CPPE™)

One person in every practice should be the expert on the money conversation — what the team can say, what must be documented, what changed in your jurisdiction this month. The CPPE is that person: trained, examined, background-screened, ethics-pledged, and renewed every year. The standard of practice is two certified experts per practice — a primary and a backup — because vacations, sick days, and turnover should never suspend compliant payment conversations.

  1. Enroll your practice

Enrollment includes your first candidate; additional team members can be addducet any time.

  2. Complete the curriculum

The NSPPP Body of Knowledge — the seven domains of NS-1 plus the overlay for your jurisdiction. Self-paced, online.

  3. Pass the examination

A proctored qualifying exam. Candidates also complete a background screening and sign the NSPPP Ethics Pledge.

  4. Receive the certification

Certification number, verifiable digital badge, framed-quality certificate for the office, and a public registry listing.

  5. Stay current, every year

Annual update course, continuing-education credits, the monthly Payment Pathway Report, and same-day alerts when the rules change in your jurisdiction.
